Devlog 7: the dawn of sprint 2

Wazzaaap Wizarding Wanderers, today were here to update you on the progress of our tower trouble project in week 1 of the production 2 sprint!

ART:

We're finally getting to the most fun part: unleashing creativity without filling in forms or worrying about technicalities! This week was all about getting the skeleton of the game filled in, both through essential visual feedback, and more miscellaneous things made to make the game feel more whole, here is some eye candy for you to look at.

We've also dabbled with set dressing and giving the towers a bit more pizzazz now they are unwrapped.

PROGRAMMING:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I, your trusty neighbourhood sound designer took it upon myself  to implement the game logic for the tower destruction and create the semblance of a gameloop. This did not end up going as smoothly as I'd hoped.
The towers lose their first layer now, but simply loading the level again caused the game to crash. There is a problem with Local Player ID's not being freed up when the level is loaded, and I've not been able to fix it for the build this week.

Here's a nice GIF of the tower layer imploding though:

SOUND:

For this week for sound design I wasn't able to do as much as I would've liked. I fixed some bugs, made some tweaks to the interactive music and reworked the forceblast sound. There's now also sonic feedback when the player starts charging their throw and drops their boulder.

I hope to have a more exciting update for you guys next week.

Thank you lovely people for taking an interest!

Have a nice week
